Abel Kebede is the Co-founder and CEO of Ethio College Prep (ECP), a company he launched with one big goal: to help Ethiopian students unlock global opportunities through strategic college admissions and SAT prep. Over the past six years, Abel has personally guided hundreds of students through their college applications—helping them secure spots (and scholarships) at top universities around the world. He studied at the University at Buffalo in the U.S., so he knows firsthand how confusing and overwhelming the process can be, especially for international students. That’s exactly why he built ECP: to make the journey clearer, smarter, and more accessible for the next generation. Abel also serves as the College Guidance Counselor at Lebawi International Academy, where he works closely with students and families on building strong applications and making informed college choices. Above all, he’s passionate about helping young Ethiopians dream bigger, plan better, and step confidently into their future.
